The aim of the upgrade of Battlax Racing R10 is to provide faster lap times by improving the front tyre cornering speed and adding traction grip and consistency to the rear. To reach these targets, Bridgestone optimized the construction of the front (size 120/70R17) to provide a 10% bigger contact patch, which increases lateral grip. This extra cornering grip gives the rider more flexibility in the choice of line and an earlier clipping point, leading to faster exits and quicker cornering. At the same time, optimization of the rear compound gives the Battlax Racing R10 EVO a noticeable side and traction grip across the whole temperature range, longer tyre life and more consistent performance compared to its predecessor(3).
